     About

Background

     The Industrial Research & Consultancy Centre (IRCC) is founded in February 1965 with the assistance of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as a non-profit scientific governmental Organization.

     The centre is considered as the main advisor to the public and private industrial sector.

     IRCC was previously affiliated to the ministry of industry ,but later in 2001 ,it's affiliation was shifted to the newly formed ministry of Science and Technology ,along with all other research organizations in the Country .

I June 2010 a presidential decree was issued to transfer its affiliation once again to the minister of industry.
Vision & Mission

Vision:

     IRCC to become an institution that is competent, confident & innovative in harnessing, utilizing & advancing industrial Research & Development.

Mission:

     Contribute to the National Economy Through Sustainable Development of the Sudanese Industry.

Objectives

  • Conduct Research & Development on the exploitation of local raw materials for industry.

  • Conduct techno-economic feasibility studies on industrial projects for the private sectors.

  • Provide consultancy services on industrial planning, process, engineering, production, management, costing, plant efficiency quality control systems & product development.

  • Participate in laying down national industrial development plans of existing industries in public & private sectors.

  • Help identification & transfer of modern technology and adopting what is appropriate .

  • Disseminate industrial awareness.

  • Preparation and marketing of industrial information.
